Our Organization
Founded in 2009 by Casey Smith, Cleat Repeat™ is a newly established non-profit organization dedicated to collecting new and gently used sports equipment and distributing it to children in need, ensuring every child has an equal opportunity to participate in school and community athletic programs.
All children should have the opportunity to participate in physical activities regardless of gender, race, age, location and especially economic status or income. However, many of Mid-Michigan’s youth have not been able to participate because of low family income. In response to this major problem, Cleat Repeat™ will excel at providing the sports equipment necessary for Mid-Michigan's children to have an equal opportunity to participate in organized sports. In fact, after conducting the proper research Mr. Smith is highly confident that he will be successful in helping cultivate today’s youth.
Clinical studies show that sports and recreation activities can help young people begin lifelong and healthy physical activity patterns. Habitual physical activity can help prevent life-threatening diseases; decrease emotions of depression and anxiety; help fight childhood obesity; and build and maintain healthy muscles, joints, and bones according to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness.
